Let’s get Started:

Card Base: 5.5 x 8.5, scored and folded at 4.25

Kraft Card Face: 5.5 x 4.25

Kraft Focal Piece: 3 x 2.5

A scrap of Kraft for sentiment

Card Face:

  • I placed this in an embossing folder featuring an evergreen forest and ran it through my Big Shot.

  • I brushed brown ink gently over the raised trees to make them stand out more against the background.

  • I spattered snow onto the card face using diluted white acrylic paint..

  • I added the same white acrylic to the edges.

Focal Piece:

  • I put this paper into my stamp positioner and used brown ink to stamp the image twice.

  • I added white spatter to this piece as well.

  • I added a fine line of brown ink around the edges of the entire piece.

Other:

  • I stamped the sentiment with the same brown ink used earlier.

  • This piece was also spattered with snow.

  • I added white to the edges.

  • I used a die to cut it down to the correct size.

Assembly

  • I glued the card face to the card base.

  • I glued the focal piece into the lower right-hand corner as shown in the image.

  • I added foam tape to the back of the sentiment and put it in place.

Final Thoughts:

I am really happy with the way this card turned out.

The white acrylic that I use is very thick and has to be diluted to use for spatter: it is my favourite white for this purpose as it sits on top of the paper and is very visible.
