Be Amazing, Be YOU

Let’s get Started:

Card Base:   4.25 x 11, scored and folded at 5.5

Border:  Lime Green,  4 x 5.5 *

Card Face:  3 ⅞ x 5.5

Card Face:

• I laid the card face onto my Grip Mat and positioned the stencil.

• I carefully tore a piece of paper to cover the top/top left of the card -  I wanted to protect the area where the hair would be - and wasn’t in the mood to trace and cut, LOL.

• I applied a heavy coat of black ink to the outline of the face and features.

• I masked off the bottom/bottom right of the card face and inked up the hair , using bright colours:  green, yellow, pink and blue.

• I removed the stencil,  but left the mask in place over the bottom of the card face:  I spattered each of the four colours to represent her wild and beautiful hair.

Other:

• I stamped the sentiment and used my paper trimmer to cut it down to the size I wanted.

• I put dimensional tape on the back of the sentiment strip.

Assembly

• I glued the green border layer to the card base, and then the card face on top of both, centering carefully.

• I put the sentiment strip in place as shown.

• I glued two bits of green bling onto the end of the sentiment, as shown.

Final Thoughts:

I love Maggie  (the stencil)  she is free-spirited and self-confident:  proven here by her colour choices for her hair …at least for  today.
