This card started out as a gel print: I liked the bold colours and pattern, but wasn’t certain what the next step was. I looked through my stash and found this stencil …..
Let’s get Started:
Card Base: 5.5 x 8.5, scored and folded at 4.25
Border Layer: 5.25 x 4
Card Face: 5 ⅛ x 3 7/8
Card Face:
I dusted the card face liberally with anti-static powder.
I laid the card face on my grip mat and positioned the stencil.
I pressed Versamark embossing ink firmly through the openings, repeating this until I was confident that I had good coverage.
I sprinkled silver embossing powder over the card face, shook off the excess and used my heat gun to set the remaining powder. This powder is opaque, so it completely covered the green layer with a smooth silver finish.
After the powder had cooled, I put the die in place, secured it with Mint Tape, and ran it through my Big Shot.
I die cut the sentiment twice and glued them together.
Assembly
I glued the border layer to the card base, and the card face on top of these, centering on all sides.
I added the sentiment as shown.
I added three white Nuvo Drops to the tops of the trees as a finishing touch.
Final Thoughts:
This card is well outside of my usual style, but I like it!
