TUTORIALCHRISTMAS/HOLIDAY SEASON

Let’s get Started:
Card Base: 5.5 x 8.5, scored and folded at 4.25
Border Layer: 5.5 x 4
Card Face: 5.5 x 3 7/8
Card Face:
I created the red diamond pattern on the card face by using a Glimmer machine and the appropriate plate plus foil.
I put the card face into my stamp positioner and used Versafine Onyx to ink up the stamp and create the image.
Other:
I put a piece of scrap paper into the stamp positioner.
I stamped the sentiment on the paper, using gray ink.
I repositioned the paper slightly, moving it up and to the left and stamped again in red. I stamped several times to get a strong red impression.
Repositioning the paper plus the combination of these two colours makes the sentiment appear to have a shadow.
I used a die to cut the sentiment out.
I used alcohol markers and a couple of soft gray inks on the banner to create the appearance of shadows.
Assembly
I glued the red border layer to the card base, centering vertically.
I glued the card face to the top of these, again centering vertically.
I added foam tape to the back of the sentiment and put it in place as shown.
Final Thoughts:
I love the simplicity of this card. It has a very peaceful feel, with an elegance that is pleasing to the eye.
