Let’s get Started:

Card Base: 5.5 X 8.5, scored and folded at 4.25

Card Face: 5.5 x 4.25

I had already stamped and coloured the basket with the flowers on a card face. I put it aside in my collection until I decided what to use it for.

Card Face:

  • After laying the cardface on my grip mat, I positioned the stencil and added yellow and brown inks: .I was careful to avoid the basket and flowers.

  • I added orange ink to create a border around the entire care face.

Other:

  • I looked in my Ready to Go binder for “what next” inspiration, and found the Old Gal already coloured and cut out, just waiting for her chance to shine.

  • Once I had decided to use the Old Gal, the sentiment was easy to choose. I put the card face into my stamp positioner and added the sentiment using Versafine Onyx.

Assembly

  • I glued the card face to the card base.

  • I glued the Old Gal in place as shown.

  • I added small black gems under the sentiment, and then used the same gems to the right of the Old Gal.

Final Thoughts:

This card is certainly nothing that I was picturing when I initially stamped and coloured the image, but I’m really happy with this grin-worthy combination.
