Hello crafty friend

Let’s get Started:

Card Base: 4.25 x 11, scored and folded at 5.5

BlackLayer:  4.25 x 5.5  

Card Face 4.25 x 5.5

Card Face:

• I positioned the card face on my Grip Mat,  and then laid the stencil over top.

• I used a variety of bright colours (green, blue, purple, pink, orange) selectively across the stencil:  I wanted the blooms to be multi-coloured but took care not to mix colours that would create muddy tones.

• I removed the stencil and set it aside, and  then put the card face into my stamp positioner.

• I stamped the large HELLO in black,  stamping repeatedly to get a very dark, solid image.

• I added the smaller “crafty friend” just below.

• I took the card face out of the positioner and added a rick rack die below, matching the angle of the sentiment.  I ran this through the Big Shot.

• I added spatter with metallic silver watercolour.

• I trimmed ¼” off of the bottom piece of the card face.

Assembly:

• I glued the black layer to the card base.

• I added both pieces of the card face, aligning at the top and bottom.  This left a ¼” gap between the two because I had trimmed the bottom.

• I added bling under the diagonal cut, positioning as shown.

Final Thoughts:

I’m really happy with how the different elements in this card play together.
