I love all things autumn, so when A Colorful Life Designs brought out Fall Leaves, I knew I needed it in my stash.

Let’s Get Started:

Card Base:5.5 x 8.5, scored and folded at 4.25

Border: black cardstock 5.5 x 4.25

Card Face:5.25 x 4

Small Scrap of Cardstock for Sentiment

Card Face: I secured the stencil to the card face with Mint Tape, grabbed ink and brushes and got to work.

Working with yellow, red, orange and green I applied ink through the stencil. Each leaf was a random mix of colours as I wanted to simulate the smorgasbord of colour that we are treated to every year.

I put the card face into my stamp positioner and stamped repeatedly with black ink to get a really intense "Hello".

I put the card face into an embossing folder and ran it through my Big Shot: this added texture and subtle visual interest.

Other:

I stamped the small "it's me" onto a scrap of white cardstock and die cut it using an oblong die.

Assembly:

I glued the black border layer to the card base, and then glued the card face on top of that, centering carefully.

I added dimensional foam onto the back of the sentiment, and put that in place as shown.

Stretch Your Pennies

**note: my card bases are typically white or cream. When I want a different coloured base or a narrow border, I'll simply apply a layer in the appropriate colour, but will often cut a rectangle from the center or use a piece that has already had something cut out of it. I find this to be a more economical way to make cards and no one will ever know as it is sandwiched between the card base and the card face.

Final thoughts:

I love the stencil, and I also love that bold HELLO from Taylored Expressions. Between the two of them I didn't need to do much to this card - which I love! LOL.
