Oh Baby!
can't wait to meet you

This card used a gel print that I had made and put away for "someday". Have you tried gel printing? It's a messy, unpredictable, wonderful medium to play in!
Let’s Get Started:
Card Base: 5.5 x 8.5, scored and folded at 5.25
Card Face: 5.5 x 3 7/8
Gold Cardstock: 5.25 x 3.75
Small Piece of Cardstock for Sentiment
Card Face:
I had a gel print that I really liked, waiting to be used. I got it out, and spattered it with some metallic gold watercolour. That added not only a bit of shine but extra depth.
I ran it through my Big Shot with a wonderful die that cut out a spiral of stars.
Other:
I stamped the baby and the moon with Memento ink, and coloured them with alcohol markers. I don't have dies for this stamp set, so I fussy cut them.
I stamped the sentiment (and the swirly silver background) and used a scalloped edge square die to cut them out.
Assembly:
I glued the gold card stock behind the card face, creating gold stars peeking through the die cut openings.
I glued the baby and the moon in place as shown in the image.
I glued the card face to the card base.
I put dimensional foam on the back of the sentiment, and put that in place.
Final thoughts:
I was really happy with this card - purple and green might not be "standard" colours for a galaxy, but I thought they provided a great background here.
Supplies: (and links where possible)
I have listed which products I have used, and where they were purchased. It's a huge marketplace and in most instances there are multiple sources and many alternatives to choose from.
