Let’s Get Started:

Card Base: 5.25 x 10.5, scored and folded at 5.25

Teal Border: 5 1/8 x 5 1/8

Card Face: 5 x 5

Small piece of Cardstock for focal image

Card Face:

  • I fastened the stencil to the card face using Mint tape, grabbed my gold ink and blending foam and got to work.

(I have a dedicated blending foam for each of my metallic inks: I store them with the ink in individual bags)

  • I applied gold ink through the stencil: when it was completely inked I removed the stencil, rotated it slightly, and repeated the process. This allowed additional fullness in the wreath.

Other:

  • I put the smaller piece of cardstock into my stamp positioner and stamped with teal ink to match the cardstock used for the border. I stamped a couple of times to ensure good coverage.

  • I used two circle dies in appropriate sizes to cut out both the part of the circular image with the words, and the border around it.

  • I put dimensional foam on the back of the circle with the sentiment.

Assembly:

  • I glued the circular stamped border to the center of the stencilled wreath.

  • I ran two pieces of gold cord across the center of the card face as shown, securing them with scotch tape on the back.

  • I glued this card face layer to the card base, centering carefully.

  • I removed the backing from the dimensional foam and placed the circle with the sentiment carefully in the center of the stamped circular border.

Final thoughts:

A very simple - but effective - design. I'm really happy with the subtle shimmer of the metallic gold ink, and the combination of teal, gold and white.
