Let’s get Started:

Card Base: 5.5 x 8.5, scored and folded at 4.25:

Card Face:: 5.25 x 4

Card Face:

As always, I laid the card face on the Grip Mat and then positioned the stencil. This is a 6 x 9 stencil, so I experimented a bit until I decided which part I would use in this design.

I applied yellow ink with a light hand across the exposed surface.

I put the card face into my stamp positioner and stamped the giraffe with Memento ink.

I coloured the giraffe with alcohol markers.

I returned the card face to the stamp positioner and added the sentiment.

I used torn paper to cover the giraffe and sentiment roughly, and added spatter using metallic watercolour paint.(I was so pleased when the red I chose matched the flower beautifully.)

I dragged the edges of the card face over the black ink pad to add a very fine black line.

Assembly

I cut a piece of adhesive foam sheet slightly smaller than the card face and put it on the back.

I centered the card face on the card base.

As a final touch, I added Nuvo drops to the center of the flower.

Final Thoughts:

I love the way this stencil and stamp came together in this card. They work beautifully as a duo.
