Let’s get Started:
Card Base:5.5 x 8.5, scored and folded at 4.25
Yellow Border:: 5.5 x 4.25
Card Face:: 5.25 x 4
This stencil has three different chrysanthemums in different sizes: the smallest one was used on this design.
Card Face:
I placed the card face onto the grip map to prevent slipping during the design process and positioned the smallest blossom in the center of the paper. After carefully masking nearby openings on the stencil, I applied grey ink with a soft hand.
I moved the stencil to the right and repeated the process. I moved it to the right again - only a portion of the stencil was visible on the card face, but I inked it up anyway.
I repeated this process moving left from the center blossom instead of right.
With the first row complete, I moved the stencil up and repeated the process, alternating the blossoms on this row.
I continued the process until the card face was full.
I used a #1 shading brush to add yellow ink to the center of each flower.
I added depth and texture to the card face by putting it into an embossing folder and running it through the Big Shot.
Other
I stamped and die-cut the sentiment. I used a grey alcohol marker to add subtle shading to the banner to make it appear 3D.
I cut the 3 pieces of the bouquet out of white card stock. I used #0 shading brushes to very carefully add colour to the individual pieces, allowing variations in colour to increase visual interest.
I die-cut the bow out of white cardstock.
I had a piece of green vellum on my desk, just waiting to be used. I used an oval die on this.
Assembly
I glued the yellow border layer onto the card base and then centered the card face on top of this.
I pressed the green vellum oval into a microdot sheet and then placed it on the card face in the appropriate spot.
I pressed each of the small pieces of the bouquet into the same adhesive, and arranged them on the vellum.
I used a tiny dot of liquid glue to put the bow in place. I added a small gem to the middle of the bow.
I put dimensional foam on the back of the sentiment and put it in place as shown.
Final Thoughts:
I love this teeny tiny bouquet! It makes such a cute focal point for the card.
