I simply love the warm, rich tones of autumn, but just to change things up I used a cool blue and a green in this design.

Let’s Get Started:

Card Base: 5.5 x 8.5, scored and folded at 4.25

Card Face: 5.5 x 4

1/8" strip of metallic copper cardstock, x 2

I decided which portion of the stencil I would use (this stencil includes 9 pumpkins, so there are several ways you can position the paper to use 6 that are side by side), then I secured the appropriate section to the card face with Mint Tape.

I masked off the six stems, to keep them uninked during the next step.

I selected very soft colours in blue, green and orange and used each colour twice on the card face.

I moved the masks from the stems down to the top of the pumpkins to protect the colours I had just applied, and inked up the stems using a medium brown.

I put the card face into the stamp positioner, lined up the sentiment and stamped in dark brown.

I used a palette knife to add glass bead gel to the bottoms of the pumpkins, varying the application on each one.

Assembly:

After letting the glass bead gel dry, I glued the card face to the card base, centering vertically.

I glued the copper strips onto the top and bottom.

Final thoughts:

this is the first time I've used the glass bead gel, and it's SO pretty. It gives both shine and dimension: what a unique product. I'll be playing with this again!
