Would you like to experiment with a design like this? You'll find a supply list below, including a link to the stencils I used from A Colorful Life Designs. Let’s get Started:

Card Base: 4.25 x 11, scored and folded at 5.5

Card Face: 4.25 x 5.5

Card Face:

  • I placed the card face on the grip mat and positioned the first stencil.

  • I applied soft green ink across the exposed areas, allowing it to fade at the bottom.

  • I put the card face into the stamp positioner and added the image of the little boy, using dark brown ink.

  • I moistened a paintbrush with water and ran it lightly over the left-hand side of the boy to create a dense colour.

  • After returning the card face to my work surface, I positioned the second stencil (cloud) and applied medium blue ink, turning the stencil and repositioning it as necessary to create the sky.

  • I used a corner rounding punch on the upper corners of the card face.

  • I centered an oval die on the card face and ran both through the Big Shot.

Other:

  • I used the same corner rounder on the top two corners of the card base.

Assembly:

  • I glued the outer portion of the card face to the card base.

  • I glued the inner (oval) portion in place, carefully lining up the image.

Final Thoughts:

I love this image, and I’m really happy with the choices I made in this design.
