Card Face:
I put the card face into the stamp positioner and stamped the wise men and the ground repeatedly with navy ink to get a good impression.
Starting at the top and working down, I brushed on the same ink to create a night sky.
I built up the ink intensity at the top and on the edges, allowing it to fade away before it reached the stamped figures.
I tore scrap paper into roughly the correct shape to protect the stamping and laid it over top.
I diluted white acrylic with water and spattered it onto represent the stars in the sky. I allowed this to dry for a couple of minutes before moving on.
I put the card face back into the stamp positioner and added the sentiment with Versamark embossing ink.
I sprinkled on copper embossing powder and set it with my heat gun after shaking off the excess powder..
Assembly
I glued the copper border layer to the card base and centered the card face on top of these.
Final Thoughts:
I love this image, but had a hard time getting it to ink properly. It might need to be heat embossed next time, as I find this often solves issues with “spotty” solid images.
All in all though, I’m happy with this card.
