Technique: layering stencils so that the second one appears to be behind the first

Card base: 4.25 x 8.5, scored and folded at 5.5

White card face: 3.78 x 5.18

narrow black border: 4 x 5.25

• I applied ink to the card face through the Interlocking Squares Mask . I used pink, yellow and blue inks and overlapped them just enough to create new colours where they meet.

• Then I went back and put the Itty Bitty Love in place, while the first stencil was in place. This creates the wonderful effect that you see in the picture - the hearts appear to be behind the squares, while leaving the squares pure white with no ink interfering with that pattern. Such a great technique!

• With that done I simply glued the black card stock to the card base and then glued the stenciled card front onto that using Tombo liquid adhesive.

• The two tiny cats were put in place using Thermo Web sticky dots.

• the sentiment was put onto dimensional tape and took it's spot on the card face

• 5 tiny black gems were put in place as a finishing touch.

Final thoughts: I was happy with this! I love those tiny cats and I could have worked in one or two more....

maybe I'll recreate the design someday and try that.
